Early in my career, I managed compliance for stock and mutual fund securities brokers, gaining a strong understanding of regulatory requirements. My background in compliance extended to my mortgage operations and banking partnerships, giving me a comprehensive perspective on financial regulations. I’ve also worked with developers on zoning, permitting, and building regulations, ensuring their projects meet legal and technical standards. Consulting on environmental, structural, and technical aspects of development has been another important focus of mine.
Throughout my career, I’ve built a network of trusted professionals, including attorneys, architects, and trade experts, allowing me to provide well-rounded consulting services. I hold licenses in real estate, mortgage lending, general contracting, which reflect the multifaceted nature of our business. My approach is hands-on and solution-oriented, whether I’m guiding complex transactions, advising on large-scale developments, or helping clients manage distressed assets. It’s incredibly rewarding to help others achieve their goals while navigating the intricacies of real estate and finance.
With over thirty seven years of consulting experience, I’ve had the privilege of working across real estate development, finance, and banking, offering strategic guidance to banks, private lenders, real estate professionals, CPAs, attorneys, CFPs and developers. Over the years, I’ve helped restructure troubled loans, manage distressed assets, and navigate a large-scale real estate transaction. My goal has always been to provide practical insights that help businesses, individuals, and professionals tackle complex challenges effectively.
During the 2008 financial crisis, I collaborated with a hedge fund and a billionaire investor on a plan to turn around a $300 million bank. Although the FDIC ultimately denied the proposal, the process highlighted my ability to navigate distressed banking and restructuring. I was also a co-founder of STC Capital Bank, where I advised on operations, loan structures, and financial planning.
I’ve worked extensively on redevelopment agreements, tax increment financing (TIF), opportunity zones, and tax incentives.
In 2007, I negotiated a redevelopment agreement to revitalize a 180-acre redevelopment site, utilizing municipal incentives and creative financing strategies to push the project forward. I’ve also worked extensively in loan restructuring, foreclosures, and distressed asset management, helping clients recover from financial challenges and minimize losses. Additionally, I’ve advised on over $20 million in private loans, offering guidance on risk management and investment optimization.
